Children’s Ministry

“ENERGIZE” Children’s Ministry is designed for the children of our church, their friends and our Day School families from Kindergarten through Fifth Grade (this past school year). Younger children are welcome if accompanied by a parent.
Our purpose is to provide a variety of summer activities to help children grow in their faith and love of God. We want each child to realize that they are precious to Jesus Christ and His church.

Tuesday, June 14: Wet'n Wild Emeral Pointe
(8:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
We‟re headed to Greensboro, to the Carolina‟s most popular water park! Please wear your swim suit to the church with a neon green t-shirt over. The cost for this exciting day is $38.00! BRING a bag lunch! (We‟ll provide the drink.) Don‟t forget to bring a towel, sunscreen & extra money if you‟d like a souvenir treat!
Tuesday, June 21: Reed Gold Mine & Scavenger Hunt
(8:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
Have you ever panned for real gold?!? Don‟t miss out on your chance! We will also get to explore a mine shaft, see a stamp mill and more. But wait -- the fun has only just begun as we kick things off with a scavenger hunt! (Wear tennis shoes for the cave walk & bring a bag lunch!) The cost is $20.00.
Tuesday, Jun 28: Tiger World & Dan Nicholas Park

Come with us to Tiger World! Not only will you enjoy an amazing tour, you can ask the Animal Care Specialists questions and interact with the animals. We will take in a picnic lunch, and then make our way to Dan Nicholas Park for some added FUN! BRING a bag lunch! The cost is only $20.00.
Wednesday, July 6: Movie & Pool Party

We‟re headed to the Randolph Mall to catch the re-release of “Sing 2” on the BIG screen! We will enjoy lunch at Chick-fil-A, followed by an afternoon swim. All this and more for just $20.00. (BRING a swim suit, towel and sunscreen!)
Tuesday, July 12: Kaleideum & Mrs. Hanes Moravian Cookie Factory
(8:00 PM - 5:30 PM)
Our first stop — Mrs. Hanes Moravian Cookie Factory! We‟ll take a guided tour, and sample some amazing cookies. Afterwards we‟ll enjoy a picnic lunch before heading to the Kaleideum Science Museum (formerly Sci-Works in Winston-Salem). BRING a bag lunch! Cost =$20.00!
Thursday, July 21: Family Night Baseball
(6:15 PM - 9:30 PM)
We‟re headed to McCrary Park for an Asheboro ZooKeepers Baseball Game! Your family is welcome to go with us!! The cost is $15.00. Bring extra $ for drinks & snacks!
Saturday, July 30: VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Tuesday: Aug. 2: Bowling & Pool Party

We‟re headed to the Family Sports Center to try our luck at some bowling, followed by lunch at Chick-fil-A, and an afternoon of swimming & FUN! BRING a pair of socks to bowl with, your swimsuit, towel and sunscreen! The cost is only $20.00.
Tuesday, Aug. 9: Wet'n Wild Emerald Pointe

We‟re headed to the Carolina‟s most popular water park one more time! Wear your swim suit to the church with your ENERGIZE t-shirt over. The cost for this exciting day is only $38.00 which includes admission & transportation. BRING a bag lunch, a towel & sunscreen!

Registrations are being accepted now so don‟t delay!! To register, turn in your completed form along with the $15.00 registration fee, and a $10.00 deposit for “each” event you sign up for (excluding the Family Night Ballgame & VBS) by Friday, June 3rd.
Please remember to check the events that your child will participate in, and list all pertinent medical information.
We have “limited space” for certain events!! Please sign up as soon as possible (download the brochure above)!
Late registration available only as space allows.
What To Bring:
Booster seats are required!! If your child falls in the age & height requirement based on NC law, you will need to send a booster seat each trip they take part in! PLEASE label or mark seat with your child‟s name!
There are a number of various items needed for each event: picnic lunch (please make sure you provide your own ice pack), towel, swimsuit, change of clothes, sunscreen, etc.! Most events will be outside and sunburn is possible. *Please check the details for each event, and bring correct “change” when you check in!
Storm Plan: In case of rain, we will continue the activities and fun back at the church.
