Deya Says:

I love God and I love people and serving others with love is how I serve our God.

I am blessed by children and consider it a privilege to share with them and their families the Good News of the Gospel in exciting and engaging ways. I enjoy their sincerity, purity, transparency, and love to see their faith and relationship with God grow. Being a contribution in their faith journey is an amazing honor!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY:

"Deya found the COVID-19 pandemic a disruption of the children’s ministry at Central UMC. Throughout the summer and fall, Deya has offered new ways to reaching out to the children of our church and surrounding community. She started offering a children’s ministry lesson on Sunday mornings at 10:45 am, accessed on the church Facebook page. She has served as a worship leader in both our 9:30 am and 11:00 am worship services. She organized and launched a discipleship and spiritual growth program for children called AWANA. Deya planned and organized a drive through Trunk or Treat outreach to the children in our community on October 31, distributing candy to approximately 800 neighborhood children. In addition, Deya serves as a liaison between Central and Mission Adonai, and the Spanish speaking community in Asheboro. Her gifts and ministry are vital in helping us reach our mission field for Jesus Christ."
